depicted above. It sold 5,300 last fiscal year. So, it<\/p>\n

its Toyota Smart Energy center, which it recently debuted in a smart grid community it created in Toyota<\/p>\n

According to the company, by converging the<\/p>\n

home and the electric car, which will, in the future,<\/p>\n

account for one-third of a home\u2019s energy consumption, overall energy use can be reduced 75% (See \u2018Living the One Tonne Life\u2019 on page 12).<\/p>\n

The import of this announcement is that the<\/p>\n

2012 Prius Plug-In has to have some level of Vehicleto-Home capabilities, not V2G yet, but V2H, the first<\/p>\n

step towards longer term V2G capability, where, at<\/p>\n

least in theory, automobiles can become income generators and not financial black holes.<\/p>\n

Toyota\u2019s Shigeki Tomoyama explained it this<\/p>\n
